Krytar’s Model 102040030 directional coupler offers 30 dB of nominal coupling over a frequency range of 2.0 to 40.0 GHz (S through Ka bands). Housed in a compact and lightweight package, the device is well-suited for wireless designs and many test and measurement applications.

Specifications for the directional coupler include a frequency sensitivity of ±1.0 dB and input power of 20 W average, 3 kW peak. The part exhibits insertion loss (including coupled power) of less than 0.8 dB from 2 GHz to 20 GHz and less than 1.5 dB from 20 GHz to 40 GHz. It also provides directivity of greater than 11 dB and maximum VSWR on any port of 1.5:1 from 2 GHz to 20 GHz and 1.7:1 from 20 GHz to 40 GHz.

Krytar couplers can be used for a wide variety of ultra-broadband applications, including commercial wireless (mmWave, 5G, 5G NR, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 6E), electronic warfare, satellite communications, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming, and EMC testing environments.

The Model 102040030 directional coupler comes with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors. Its compact package is just 1.75×0.40×0.65 in. and weighs only 1.2 oz. Operating temperature range is -54°C to +85°C. Additionally, the coupler can be manufactured to meet rigid military specifications.
